About This & That

Monday Monday...
I did not look forward to seeing you once again, not for one bit...

Weekend was ok, I would say it went by fast but since J is not here it kind of made it go by slower... (not complaining!)

Since I'm a training single mom with Penny (she's way better BTW) I decided I could try to spend some time in the kitchen as well, so I made a bundt cake (although when I pulled it out from the pan half of it came out and the other half decided to hang out in the pan for a little while longer...) and I had homemade dinners all weekend long! Hooray for me! You know, nothing fancy but at least I tried! I need some easy-to-make recipes, if you love some website in that style, let me know.

I also went grocery shopping and got a new shampoo. I decided to get some conditioner too, so I picked up a nice-smelly one and left. Well, last night while I was in the shower and I had shampooed my hair, I reached for my new conditioner and realized it was a shampoo. Duh! I guess I need to read labels more carefully... I mean who makes shampoo and conditioner bottles the same color and shape anyway!! (This is my lame excuse, just so you know)

At least I had something good happened to me: I won something in a raffle!! Yay for me!! Someone called me to let me know I had won an 'Appleaday' gift card. I was so excited and happy that I just thanked the woman and hung up. Then I was all like... and what in the hell is an Appleaday??? No idea. I'm mystified! I spent some time googling the thing and it could be one of the following:

- a spa (please, let it be a SPA!)
- a grocery store
- a nicer grocery store (like Whole Foods or something)
- a bakery (like Marie Callender's)

Last time I won something, I was like 8 years old and I won 5 soles (Peruvian Currency) in one of those games that we have in a local farmer's market (at least in Peru) where we have about 10 boxes around a guinea pig, and each box has a little door hole where the little buddy goes to hide. If the guinea pig chose your box, you win!! I always felt bad for the animal, it had to be really scared :-(

Anyway, I'll find out what I actually won on Monday (it's a little bit after midnight right now)

Keeping my fingers crossed for a SPA!
