About This & That

Here's a small list of things (J and) I would recommend of doing if you ever go down there. If you've been there, feel free to add or comment on whatever you want. Or if you're planning to go, you can ask me all those random questions you probably have before going.

• DO find a local friend that can go shopping with you. Or else you'll end up paying $60 for a $10 souvenir.


• DON'T say ' Oh this sun is not so bad, back at home I can stay outside and not tan at all' Or you'll end up like this after 30 minutes. (And I'm just pushing against it to show how red it is.)


• DO go out to bars at night, beer have more alcohol and they're way cheaper than here!


• DON'T eat ceviche or raw fish at night or you'll spend your night sitting on the throne.


• DO get a ride on the Mirabus, it's pretty fun!


• DON'T miss the Giant Rock Slide in Cusco! (That link is for my Spanish blog, but at least you can look at the picture!)


• DO tip to local people in the highlands when you're taking a picture of/with them.

• DON'T forget to take a book with you, for the train, buses and plane rides.
